The intake session is the most critical session in the treatment of the presenting problem. I take my role as a provider who can diagnosis and treat children extremely seriously and leave nothing to chance. This is why the psychological assessment and diagnosis is two hours in length and covers all aspects, domains, and environments in a child's life. What sets me apart from other clinicians is I have a systematic research based and developmental view of presenting problems that help me to be extremely accurate in assessment and diagnosis. I use evidence based assessment tools during the intake that help support the final diagnosis. With diagnosing and treating children I start with smaller diagnoses and try to treat with therapy in most cases before diagnosing bigger diagnoses if needed over time. Once we have a diagnosis I then move into the treatment planning phase. This also sets me apart from other clinicians as I make sure that the treatment plan goals are measurable so that we can track your child's progress and know when treatment goals have been reached.
