Many people are hoping to use insurance for therapy services and that is completely understandable. While my charges are most likely reimbursable to some degree, I do not participate directly with any insurance companies. Because I know that finding the right therapist is a way of protecting your investment of time, energy, and money, perhaps I can offer you some thoughts about why you may want to think about more than just the lowest price when it comes to choosing a therapist. Not every therapist has taken the time to learn, train, and study in this specialty of children and adolescent family therapy which is why the services here may cost more. But your expected results when using my services may also justify the added expense. Also, in order to use insurance children must be given a diagnosis. In my practice, I have found that oftentimes my therapy services can be provided to children and make the challenges go away without needing to diagnose a child with a disorder at all. I also offer a collaborative model of services that are clinically proven to have faster and more sustainable results that would not be funded by insurance due to my high level of coordination of care with families, schools, and other providers in the child's life. It is important for me to see you quickly and I will make sure to find time for us to have the first session. If you would like to start by scheduling a single session, to see how we work together, I am happy to find time for us.
